About the Center

The Flinn Foundation and the Thomas R. Brown Foundations created the Arizona Center for Civic Leadership in 2010 to fill a gap the two Arizona-based philanthropies identified in the state’s civic-leadership assets. Although quality leadership-training organizations existed at the local and regional level, no entity worked specifically to address state-level civic-leadership or to strengthen civic leadership statewide.
